Being acceptable to God

Galatians 2:16 – ‘…knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, for by the words of the law no flesh shall be justified.’

Romans 5:1 – ‘Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.’

Colossians 2:13,14 – ‘And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.’

Titus 3:7 – ‘…that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.’

Romans 8:33,34 – ‘Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.’

Psalm 32:1,2 – ‘Blessed is the man whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.’

Faith

Ephesians 2:8 – ‘For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God.’

Acts 16:31 – ‘So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”’

Mark 16:16 – ‘He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.’

Acts 10:43 – ‘To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.’

Hebrews 11:6 – ‘But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.’

Romans 10:17 – ‘So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.’

Acts 13:48 – ‘Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord. And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.’

Freely given love

Titus 3:5 – ‘…not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.’

Ephesians 2:8 – ‘For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God.’

2 Timothy 1:9 – ‘…who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.’

Ephesians 1:6 – ‘…to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.’

Hebrews 4:6 – ‘Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience.’
 

Standing strong

Hebrews 6:11,12 – ‘And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.’

Colossians 2:6,7 – ‘As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.’

Isaiah 40:29-31 – ‘He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.’

Zechariah 10:12 – ‘”So I will strengthen them in the Lord, and they shall walk up and down in His name,” says the Lord.’

Psalm 31:24 – ‘Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you hope in the Lord.’

2 Peter 1:9,10 – ‘For he who lacks these things is short-sighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore brethren, be even mord diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble.’

Turning back to God

Acts 2:38, 39 – ‘Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”’

James 4:8-10 – ‘Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let you laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.’

Matthew 3:2 – ‘…and saying “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”’

Acts 3:19 – ‘Repent therefore and be converted, that yours ins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.’

2 Corinthians 7:9 – ‘Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing.’
