jMany people today believe that God is just
"the man upstairs" who will reward us if we are 'good' and punish us if we are
'bad'. This is a mistaken view.
God is loving, forgiving, gentle, merciful, trustworthy...and the list goes on! He sent
His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins. If we believe in Christ and
accept Him into our lives, we will gain eternal life (see John 3:16). God is interested in
every intimate detail of our lives - the physical, emotional and spiritual.
The aim of this section is to
highlight passages in the Bible, in which God helped people face the same issues we face
today - issues regarding health, sex, marriage, money, parenthood, depression, etc. By
doing so, we hope to show that the Bible is still relevant in today world. It is God's
manual for successful living.
Please take time to read the Bible passages along with the commentary. The section will
