The Bible – Our Source Book

2 Timothy 3:16,17 – ‘All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.’

Hebrew 4:12 – ‘For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.’

Mark 13:31 – ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Proverbs 30:5,6 – ‘Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.’

Psalm 33:6 – ‘By the word of the Lord the heavens will were made, and all the host of them by the breath of  His mouth.’

Revelation 22:18,19 – ‘For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add  to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.’

The Bible – Our Comfort

Psalm 119:150 – ‘This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life.’

Psalm 19:7,8 – ‘The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.’

Psalm 119:165 – ‘Great peace have those that love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble.’

James 1:5 – ‘If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.’

Proverbs 6:22 – ‘When you roam, they will lead you; when you sleep, they will keep you; and when you awake, they will speak with you.’

Psalm 37:23,24 – ‘The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he may fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand.’

Isaiah 30:20,21 – ‘And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, but your eyes shall see your teachers. Your shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.’

Psalm 73:23,24 – ‘Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.’ 

Proverbs 3:5,6 – ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.’

The Bible – Our Strength

 Isaiah 40:29-31 – ‘He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.’

Psalm 18:30 – ‘As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.’

Psalm 119:89 – ‘Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.’

 Ephesians 1:13,14 – ‘In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.’

 Acts 20:32 – ‘So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.’
